After a string of highly successful performances throughout Europe and Asia “The Duet” decided to focus on a fresh new project, indulging their passion and talent for a wide variety of artistic styles with their unique standpoint and knowledge of musical history - “Memories of the Future II" was born. Taking in a huge range of styles, influences and art forms, The Duet’s “Memories of the Future II” show thrilled audience and critics alike with it’s mesmerising, colourful and breathtaking audio visual format. Performing at Den Haag's Royal Concert Hall (Koninklijke Schouwburg) in the Netherlands in May 2005, sisters Nathalie and Elena led their audience through a wonderfully rich mixture of music, dance, art and documentary (plus a spellbinding lighting show), bridging the gap between classical and popular musical entertainment. Classical pieces such as Khatschaturian’s Sabre Dance were brought to life through an incredible virtuoso duet performance, whilst Mike Oldfield’s stirring “Tubular Bells” (from the film The Exorcist) and Sviridoff’s “Time, Forward!” enthralled and entranced in equal measure with an almost hypnotic stage show. Strawinsky’s Tango was taken to new heights courtesy of a truly memorable dance performance twinned with a totally unique unfolding body paint-artwork back projection! “Memories of the Future” was produced and directed by the Duet. |
